- We own a lot and ready to build.
- Survey and/or perc test completed.
- Working with architect
- Architectural drawings are completed
- Ready for estimates
- We have a lot and currently working with an architect or have architectural drawings for our new home.
- Mason Construction was referred by our architect/designer/vendor

Lot buying Checklist:
- Zoning Restrictions - not only for the lot but the area you do not want to build your dream home on a lot where in 10 years someone else can build a strip mall in the backyard.
- Site Survey for house location, square footage restrictions, etc.
- Soil Tests such as Perc tests for septic and water systems.
- Utilities - how and what is the cost to get utilities to the site.
- HOA Restrictions - if building a custom home in Anne Arundel County, communities like Gibson Island and Sherwood Forest implement architectural design restrictions and even restrict construction during certain time of the year.
- County Building Restrictions and Impact Fees such as Chesapeake Bay Critical Area, Historic Restrictions, and other Environmental like Storm Water Management.
- Dynamics of the lot including sun, trees, and topography.
